Congratulations to all of you backers for coming together and making Flex 2.0 by Tefors yet another successfully funded campaign!
1. Creating the surveys. This is an extremely important and time-consuming element that we are working on because we have an extremely high number of unique products, and therefore we need to ensure that the surveys are sent out correctly the first time around.
If you are wondering what exactly that number is, then the answer is 154 unique products. This is because there are 14 models and each comes in 11 sizes, therefore resulting in 154 unique products that we need to account for in production. This is a huge number compared to a bag project for example that might only have 6 unique products because there are 3 colors and 2 sizes.
2. Resolving pledges that were not successful for our backers. As mentioned above, approximately 5% of backers had cards that were declined for various reasons that were out of their control, so we are doing our best to help them with alternatives.
3. Making the final adjustments & upgrades. We had an additional 2 months of testing and of course as designers, we always find small ways to improve our products further. We are therefore taking these first days to implement these upgrades in the final test runs in order to ensure that the production runs smoothly.
4. Purchasing of raw material and final tooling. This is a process that we already started before the campaign ended and it’s one that continues to take place also because the number of backers is higher than we anticipated.
We also have 2 molds that need to be created, for sizes 37 to 40. The great news is that all the other molds are created, fully tested on production batches and ready to go.
The surveys through BackerKit will be sent out in approximately 7 to 10 days. Once the surveys are sent out, we will let you know through a new quick email.
We will also explain all the simple steps, so for now you don’t have to worry about that.
In addition, if you already are a backer and want to include other add-ons or extra pairs, you will be able to easily do so through the BackerKit survey.
This is our 6th Kickstarter campaign, so you are in good hands.
Our mission is to create the best possible products for you so that you will be proud of owning a pair of Flex 2.0 by Tefors that you helped bring to life!
We generally send out updates every 3 to 4 weeks so that you can know the progress we are making. If there is anything in particular that you need to contact us for things such as changes in address, you can always do so through a direct message.

Our team of backers has continued to grow and that's amazing because it's allowing us to meet the minimum order quantities needed to efficiently introduce a new Stretch Goal model at $750k.
Fun Fact: Why is the MOQ such an important challenge when creating a shoe project? Due to the sizes available in every single model, the number of unique products, also known as SKU's is huge. For example, if we unlock this stretch goal, we will have 14 models and 11 sizes. In total, that's 154 unique shoe types that need to be ordered correctly, crafted accordingly and shipped out to their respective backers. That's 154 SKU's in comparison to a bag project where you may have 3 or 4 SKU's.

I am excited to see what you will all vote from now until Friday and in the next update, we will share with you the chosen model to be unlocked at $750k.
